Notes:: Oldest son of Samuel and Caroline Voigt. Remained in Limbach (Oberfrohna, Saxony, Germany) when parents and other family members came to Galveston in 1848. He came to U.S. in 1860 through the port of New York City.

Other reports have him arriving as early as 1853. He was accompanied by his second wife, Caroline Raetzer,and their
family. They settled in Wayne County, Pennsylvania.

Reports are that he died in 1869. The conflicts with the 1870 census that shows that he and his wife, Caroline, living with his brother Adolph in Red Rock. We do know that much of family ended up in Texas. Last changed: 1 MAY 2000
